The Challenge

Founded in late 2021, NOKO Solutions is a startup which unites coaching, consultancy, facilitation and leadership team development under one umbrella. As the brainchild of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Nate O’Hara, the business hit the market fast and needed a powerful brand identity to reflect its mission, and distinguish the company from Nate’s personal brand. The new brand identity needed to stand the test of time and reflect the business’s main goal: to help leaders and organizations find the clarity and purpose to grow in a positive direction.


The Outcome

Nate’s initial idea incorporated the first letters of his name, and his wife and business partner’s name, to create the acronym NOKO: Nate O’Hara and Kristie O’Hara. This short and creative idea gave the pair a way to evolve their service offering as a new company. It also provided the Khula design team with the scope to generate a range of ideas and directions to move, with regard to the brand identity. 

The design development began with a mini-discovery session and some competitive research. Through mood boarding, we derived a number of different concepts, which were then trialled on a range of people from varied backgrounds. As part of this process, we tested the viability of each concept by surveying their impact on individual respondents. 

Once we’d evaluated how well each concept resonated with respondents, we arrived at a final concept, which was then presented to Nate and Kristie. At that stage, all our mood-boarding, research and testing paid off, as the couple accept the first concept, the first time around. 

With the final concept approved, our team quickly turned around and delivered all the brand asset files, alongside the brand guidelines. Fully confident in their new brand image, NOKO Solutions were then able to expedite the roll-out of their brand and visual system across different mediums and channels, and ultimate go to market faster. 

The new brand identity is modern, bold and will help distinguish NOKO Solutions from other coaching providers. What’s more, it will also help to establish the company as professional and trustworthy, in a way that should appeal to their ideal customers.
