Refer Cold Storage has been operating for over 28 years brining cold storage solutions to businesses across South Africa. Reefer is a 15 000 pallet position frozen, citrus, chilled and ambient storage facility. They have enough space to cater for all of your storage needs.

The Challenge
For the last three decades, Reefer Cold Storage, based out of Durban, South Africa, has been the city’s go-to place for freezer and chiller facilities. While their Joomla-built website wasn’t quite as old, it hadn’t been well-maintained and was looking both tired and outdated.
Reefer was already midway through a rebrand when they tapped us up. The brief? A cool, fresh new website to reflect their new brand image — something modern, clean, easy-to-understand and navigate.

We began our efforts by strategically mapping out the content and flow for the new website — pulling together an Information Architecture to establish what was needed.
With the structure laid out, we proceeded to design and develop the site in Webflow. This enabled us to quickly build a new on-brand website — using the new visual identity and design assets Reefer supplied — along with refreshed copy and messaging. We also helped strengthen the brand’s search presence using insights gleaned from our SEO Basics package.
And the outcome? The design and visuals speak for themselves — a massive improvement. Not only that, but the site is much easier to update and maintain using Webflow — plus it performs so much faster and offers an improved all-round user experience.
