Snack subscription services are trending. After all, who wouldn’t want a box of tasty treats from around the world, delivered straight to their door? However, It’s a highly competitive market. To stand out from the crowd, you need an edge to make a lasting impression. Enter Yobox. With their unique offer of 50+ treats in one box, this Hong Kong-based snack box subscription service serves up a tempting alternative to its competitors.
The three Yobox partners, based in Canada, South Africa, and Hong Kong, had an agreement on colours, and the beginnings of a website design. But, they needed a strong brand identity and visual system that could be rolled out at every touchpoint, from packaging design and social media to their website. They wanted a unique, fun, and bold brand identity to match their appetizing vision. That’s when Yobox turned to Khula Design Studio for a full brand identity.
To get a taste of Yobox’s vision for their brand and product, we began with a discovery and understanding. The first step in identifying how our design team could execute a solution to elevate the company above its competitors involved studying the demographics of their target markets in Hong Kong, identifying their biggest competitors, and establishing possible ways to create a unique identity with the potential for longevity.
The design process began with planning, research, mood boarding and ideation. We produced numerous concepts and shared the results across our design network to get a sense of what best represented their brand and product. After multiple iterations, we arrived at the best concept to present to Yobox. Yobox was delighted by our presentation and the concept represented a strong identity. With this stunning new branding; Yobox has a powerful visual identity at every touchpoint thus creating a holistic visual experience for its consumers.
