How did Professional Certified Coach and consultant, Nate O’Hara, successfully pivot from a personal brand to a company brand?
Founded in late 2021, NOKO Solutions is a startup which unites coaching, consultancy, facilitation and leadership team development under one umbrella. As the brainchild of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Nate O’Hara, the business hit the market fast and needed a powerful brand identity to reflect its mission, and distinguish the company from Nate’s personal brand. The new brand identity needed to stand the test of time and reflect the business’s main goal: to help leaders and organizations find the clarity and purpose to grow in a positive direction.
Nate’s initial idea incorporated the first letters of his name, and his wife and business partner’s name, to create the acronym NOKO: Nate O’Hara and Kristie O’Hara. This provided the Khula design team with the scope to generate a range of fun and innovative ideas. The design process began with a discovery session and competitive research. Through mood boarding, we derived numerous different concepts, which were trialled on a range of people from varied backgrounds. We also tested the viability of concepts by surveying the impact on individual respondents.
After careful evaluation, we arrived at the final concept, which we presented to Nate and Kristie. The couple accepted this concept straightaway. Our team quickly delivered all the brand asset files, alongside the brand guidelines. The new brand identity is modern, bold and distinguishes NOKO Solutions from other coaching providers. It also helped establish the company as trustworthy, therefore appealing to the ideal customers.
