The Challenge
An award-winning interior design agency based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Design Partnership (DP), has worked with some of the world’s biggest and best known brands including Nando's, Virgin, Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, and BMW, to name a few.
Operating for over 25 years, DP has created a number of beautiful and prestigious real-world spaces. However, the company’s digital space — an older WordPress website — was outdated and slow. This had to change! What they needed was a website that was new, clean-looking, and easy to navigate. It also had to be simple to update, so DP could add projects and keep it looking fresh in-house — without having to hire a developer everytime.

The Outcome
When we first began working with DP, we already had a good understanding of their business and brand. After some preliminary industry research, we mapped out the information architecture and UX wireframes. This created a clean flow for the pages and ensured all the finite project details were shown on the new site.
Next, we infused their new brand identity and colours into the website design to create a cohesive look and feel — tying the brand into the website experience. We then migrated all the old projects from WordPress to the new Webflow CMS. Hover effects and small interactions helped to bring the visuals to life. We then finished the QA testing, and added SEO keywords and fundamentals. Now, DP has a modern and professional online presence that can proudly sit on an international stage to showcase their amazing work.
