The Challenge
CPD's team and the churches they serve kept hitting dead ends on their WordPress site. Resources were buried, navigation was confusing. Their myCPD portal, relied on by 600+ leaders and volunteers across their conference, made it genuinely hard for staff and volunteers to find what they needed. Search was fragmented, and finding a document meant already knowing where to look. Most people didn’t.
On top of it all, they were facing slow load times and plugin frustrations that come with every WordPress site. For an organization built around supporting others, having a website that frustrated its own community wasn't just inconvenient, it was working against their mission. That’s when they called us to help.

The Outcome
We tackled this project in two phases. First, the public site: We put the user at the center, writing copy and completely redesigning a clearer user experience with a structure that makes sense, all while keeping the CPD’s existing brand identity. The WordPress-to-Webflow migration eliminated the plugin conflicts and load issues immediately, and the new site launched with accessibility standards, 301 redirects, and foundational SEO built in from day one.
Phase two tackled the more complex problem: the member dashboard. We redesigned every dashboard page, rebuilt the member sign-up flow, and made the entire experience work cleanly on desktop and mobile. The centrepiece was a custom-built resource directory, searchable and filterable, powered by advanced CMS tagging logic, so members can find any of hundreds of documents by keyword or category in seconds, instead of digging through pages hoping to stumble across it. Now, everything lives in a single Webflow account that CPD's team can manage and update themselves, on both the public site and the member backend, without touching a plugin or calling a developer.
